How to use this tool

  1. Enter foreground and background colors.
  2. Check contrast to see a text preview and ratio.
  3. Review AA and AAA thresholds for normal and large text.

A worked example

Black on white → 21:1 text contrast; the UI separately reports the applicable text thresholds.

What to know

Transparent colors are composited over the background and then white. WCAG large text means at least 18 pt regular or 14 pt bold. The pass decision uses the unrounded ratio. This does not assess other accessibility requirements.
