How to use this tool

  1. Enter one-way distance and choose one-way or round-trip.
  2. Enter efficiency with its exact unit and a price per fuel unit.
  3. Calculate estimated fuel use and cost.

A worked example

200 km at 8 L/100 km and 1.50 per liter → 16 liters and a cost of 24.00.

What to know

US MPG and imperial MPG use different gallon sizes. Round-trip doubles the entered distance. This assumes constant efficiency; traffic, weather, load and vehicle condition can change real consumption.
